Magic in the air at latest 500th anniversary event
There really was magic in the air in Big School last night, when the latest event in the 500th anniversary calendar saw a range of talent, including a former pupil and a current pupil of Queen Elizabeth's, put on a wonderful Magic Show, hosted by current QEGS teacher and Inner Magic Circle member, Mr Brian Lead.
Over 120 people packed the oak-panelled dining hall for the evening and helped raise money for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital in the process.
