Extra-curricular activities
We view extra-curricular activities as extremely important for helping pupils to expand their interests and horizons and develop into rounded human beings. They may also make a crucial difference when the time comes to apply for a place at university, or for a job.
So, while we place due emphasis on the academic aspects of school life, the education on offer at QEGS extends far beyond the classroom.
All pupils have the opportunity to try out the wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer at QEGS and find something they enjoy doing. There are plenty of non-sporting pastimes and pursuits, including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, the Conjuring Club, the Astronomy Club
and the Jewellery Club.
For sporting enthusiasts, the activities range from netball to golf and from tennis to sailing.

You can click here for a downloadable list here of all the clubs and societies that will be operating at QEGS during the Lent term 2010.
Before you click, how many different activities do you think we will be offering? (More than 30? More than 40? In fact, there are more than 50 activities on our Lent term list!)
