Applying to join the Sixth Form
All applications will be carefully considered on receipt of a completed Application Form (which can be found in the back of the "Additional Information" booklet, which is part of the prospectus pack or downloaded by clicking here) and payment of the Registration Fee.
Entry to the school's Sixth Form is normally in September at the start of the academic year.
Candidates who apply to enter Sixth Form will be invited for an interview with the Headmaster. The offer of a place will then be made, subject to a satisfactory report being received from their present school, and the attainment of the GCSE grades needed to embark on AS/A2 Level courses (a minimum of five GCSE passes at Grade B is the normal requirement, preferably with at least Grade A in each of the subjects to be studied at AS level).
Queen Elizabeth's is delighted to be able to offer an Ogden Trust Sixth Form Science Scholarship to a student joining from a state school. A new Sixth Form scholarship, the Blakey Languages Sixth Form Scholarship, is also now available to a student commencing A levels at QEGS in 2010.
Details of the scholarship/s and bursaries available to those entering in September 2010 are given in the "Financial assistance" section of this website.
